Das Gerät ist ein Thales GLOW (Green Light Optical Warner), die Flinte ist mit Leuchtkörpern (flares) geladen, die Kombo wird zum Warnen/Blenden/Einschüchtern/Verwirren usw. verwendet.

Die Armee gehört zu den Streitkräften. Bewaffnete "Rebellen", darunter inzwischen viele Ausländer, sind die Terroristen. Ob man mit ihnen sympathisiert oder nicht, steht auf einem anderen Papier. Interessant ist die Zunahme der Aufnahmen mit AUGs, G3, M16, ...

AUG, G3, M16 zählen zu den weltweit verbreitesten Kleinwaffen, dass die früher oder später vermehrt ihren Weg in Krisenregionen finden ist nun wirklich nicht überraschend, sondern folgt einfach den Regeln von Angebot und Nachfrage. Eine westliche Einflussnahme lässt sich daraus auch nicht ableiten (ich denke darauf spielst du an).

Es gibt mehrere deutsche Begriffe, mit der man small arms übersetzen kann, geläufig ist die stinknormale Handfeuerwaffe. Kleinwaffe war und ist schon immer die Deppenübersetzung, hauptsächlich in der Presse und Anti-Waffen-Orgas, gewesen (UN-Konferenz zu Kleinwaffen) und auch erst seit Anfang 2000 im stärker im Umlauf. Geadelt wurde der Begriff leider 2010 durch das Auswärtige Amt (Praktikanten, ho!).

Das ist doch common sense! wink.gif

Als deutsches Pendant zum Begriff "small arms" würde ich jetzt eher "Handwaffen" nutzen, wobei hier wieder zu beachten ist dass der deutsche Begriff "Handwaffen" sowohl Kurz- als auch Langwaffen umfasst, und daher nicht mit "handgun" übersetzt werden sollte wink.gif.
