Trainasium. The Trainasium is an 'Aerial Confidence Course' which is unique to 'P' Company. In order to assess his suitability for military parachuting, the Trainasium tests the ability to overcome fear and carry out simple activities and instructions above ground level. The event is a straight PASS/FAIL.

Marines Parachute Into Exercise For First Time In A Decade
In a spectacular display, the 10 personnel of the Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron (SRS) jumped from 600ft into Galloway, Scotland as part of Exercise Joint Warrior. An element of the Lead Commando Group, SRS are a Pre Landing Force that seek a covert entry into enemy territory ahead of the main force to send back intelligence from the ground. The first ever parachute insert as part of Exercise Joint Warrior – the team are practising their core capability as the Marines regenerate their amphibious skills as oppose to the land effort used in Afghanistan.

Bei der Simulation einer “Massengeiselnahme” in einer Salzburger Schule – Übungsort ist die Rainerkaserne in Elsbethen (Flachgau) – werde ein geplanter Zugriff angestrebt, erklärte Treibenreif. Polizeischüler schlüpfen in die Rolle von Geiseln. Zur Unterstützung fordert das EKO Cobra die tschechische Sondereinheit URNA, die deutsche Sondereinheit GSG 9 und das Sondereinsatzkommando Baden-Württemberg an – insgesamt stehen rund 200 Polizisten im Einsatz.
