Norwegen 2014: Kälteerprobung Boxer
Nördlicher Polarkreis, Norwegen. Hier gibt es im Normallfall nur ein paar Rentiere; von Menschen weit und breit keine Spur. In der vergangenen Woche haben die Kameraden des Jägerbataillons 292 aus Donaueschingen das weitläufige Gelände für eine besondere Kälteprüfung genutzt.

Beobachtung. Eine wichtige Aufgabe im Fernspäheinsatz, um Informationen in der Tiefe des Raumes zu erlangen.

Die gesammelten Daten werden mit der bei den Spezialkräften verwendeten Fernmeldeausrüstung weitergegeben.

Es geht vor allem darum, Bilder und Lageänderungen frühzeitig an die Operationsführung heranzutragen.

OSA ermöglicht es, die Absichten des Gegeners zu studieren ...

... oder ein Hochwertziel (HVT) zu identifizieren.

Mit moderner optronischer Ausrüstung - wie beispielsweise spezieller Fotoapparate - gelingt zudem die Einsatzdokumentation.

Traditionell erhalten Scharfschützen diese Ausbildung.

Bewaffnet sind die Soldaten mit dem nur von Spezialkräften geführten G27 ...

... und dem bekannten G36K A1.

Auf beiden Waffen sind sogenannte "Surpressor" montiert.

On Friday 21 February 2014 the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) celebrated the Armed Forces Day at Air Force Base Bloemspruit, Bloemfontein. The event was aimed at honouring men and women in uniform who serve the nation. The President was the main officiating functionary during a military parade and paid a special tribute to those soldiers who have fallen in the line of duty whilst serving their country. Bravery medals were also conferred on those who have demonstrated heroism during the battle of Bangui in the Central African Republic (CAR).
