Soldiers from the Elite Egoz Unit Take Their Final Test

Last month, soldiers from the Elite Egoz Unit took on their final test- after more than a year of training, they conducted a week of exercise in which they put all of their studying into action. During this week, the soldiers demonstrated their abilities in camouflage, fighting in urban warfare style and much more.
The Egoz Reconnaissance Unit is an elite special forces unit of the IDF that specializes in guerrilla warfare. The Egoz Battalion is part of the Northern Command's Golani Brigade.

You voted, and this week's Corps Top Shot comes from Sgt. Elyssa Quesada. Quesada snapped this shot of Cpl. Ryan Finn on the deck of the USS Makin Island. Finn, a reconnaissance Marine, is part of Battalion Landing Team 3/1, the the ground combat element for the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit.

The unit is deployed aboard the amphibious assault ship as part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, which is a U.S. Central Command theater reserve force. The group is providing support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
