"The concept of this weapon is to be able to fire small numbers of rounds to disable a BTR (Soviet armoured personnel carrier – UT) or other armoured vehicles at close quarters. It has the advantage over the Russian design in that it does not have to be mounted on a pylon in a fixed location but can be carried around just like an assault rifle," a company representative said.

Schön ist das Ding ja nicht und ob es irgendwann mal irgendwo eingeführt wird, ist dann wieder eine andere Frage.

35'000 USD pro Stück sind schon ne Menge für 'nur' eine 300% Steigerung an Feuerkraft (wenn ich die Zahlen richtig im Kopf habe). Geringe Wirkung ist relativ, mit normalem GWAs kann man nicht hinter Mauern, Erdwälle oder Häuserecken wirken, von da her ist mir geringere (gegeüber 40mm) Effektivität lieber als gar keine. Aber eben, möcht ich dafür mehr als ein Jahresgehalt eines Soldaten ausgeben.
