Was neben den charakteristischen Pornobalken den der Heckenschütze schon erwähnt hat auch typisch ist, ist das obligatorische Rambo Stirnband; auch auf jedem Bild zu finden.

Was den Körperkult angeht denke ich das der schon in den 80er eingesetzt hat mit Stallone und vor allem Arnie.

Warum haben die keine Körperpanzerung? Die wurde doch schon im Vietnamkrieg an einfache Infanterie Einheiten ausgegeben?

Gewicht, vor allem hat es sich bei den damaligen Schutzwesten mit Masse um Splitterschutzwesten gehandelt, welche bei Kommando-Einsätzen nicht unbedingt Sinn machen.

Wann fing man eigentlich an alle möglichen und unmöglichen Sachen an den Waffen zu befestigen? Bis auf M203 sind die ja alle völlig nackt.

Ganz grob und allgemein und nicht spezifisch auf die SEALs bezogen?
Anfang/Mitte der 90er kamen Aimpoints und ACOGs, etwas später in den 90ern IR-Laser und Lampen, dann Foregrip und so ab ~2000 mit dem Durchbruch der Rails-overall kam die Flut und es wurde alles ausser der Spülmaschine an die Waffe gepappt wink.gif

Und wie einen das auf dem Frankfurter Flohmarkt aufgetriebene US-ALICE-Koppelzeug als höchstmoderner Ausrüstungsgegenstand erfreut hat.

Das tollste an den Bildern ist eigentlich zu sehen wie wenig sich die Ausrüstung der SEALs damals von der Standard-Ausrüstung beliebiger GIs unterschieden hat. Wenn man das mit heute vergleicht...


Man muss auch in Betracht ziehen, dass der Markt seinerzeit nicht allzuviel hergegeben hat. Gemessen an den Umständen ist deren Ausrüstung schon sehr individuell wink.gif

Was mir besonders stark auffällt ist der Unterschied im körperlichen Erscheinungsbild der abgebildeten Kameraden im Vergleich zu Bildern von heutigen Seals, genauer die eher weniger ausgeprägte Oberkörpermuskulatur.

Dies soll in keinster Weise eine Debatte über mehr oder weniger Leistungsfähigkeit anstoßen! ;-)

Der Grund ist meiner Ansicht nach der oben schon angesprochene Unterschied in der Ausrüstung der auch hier erkennbar ist.

Damals: keine Körperpanzerung, Koppel und ansonsten halt großer Rucksack wo der Rest drin ist (wenn denn gebraucht)

Heute: Chest-Rig, Plate-Carrier (oder was denn dann gerade getragen wird), mit den entsprechenden Schutzplatten, sprich Körperpanzerung.

Bin mal gespannt wo sich das noch hin entwickelt, auch im Hinblick auf die BW.

Meiner subjektiven Meinung nach sind schon jetzt Unterschiede im körperlichen Erscheinungsbild innerhalb der Infanterie (GebJg Fallis Jg) und Grenis zu erkennen.

In the late 1980s, Navy SEAL Master Chief Jim Kauber, flew over the Persian Gulf at night strapped to the outside of an Army OH-58 helicopter, to interdict Iranian gunboats and mine layers. Outfitted with a Litton M-845 night vision device on his M-16, Jim was part of a then-unacknowledged project, “Earnest Will.” Kauber and his cohorts hunted in the darkness using the 58’s mast-mounted FLIR system, struck with no warning then disappeared before daylight. U.S. Special Operations Command credits these Gulf missions as, “the first successful night combat engagement that neutralized an enemy threat while using aviator night vision goggles and forward looking infrared devices."

Ich habe mich mit einigen Chefs und Feldwebeln (von FschJg, PzGren und GebJg) unterhalten, die in den letzten drei Jahren (also seit 2010), in Afghanistan waren. Deren (zugegeben subjektive) Beobachtung war, dass bei Grenis und Fallis vermehrt Wert auf gut ausdefinierte muskulöse Oberkörper gelegt wird. Umgangssprachlich ausgedrückt, der Anteil der "Pumper" ist in den oben aufgeführten Einheiten höher, als z.B. bei den Gebirgsjägern.

Hinzu kommt, dass diese Anteile hier in Deutschland im "Friedensdienst" (in der Einsatzvorausbildung sowieso, da läuft ja jeder mit der Ausrüstung rum, auch ein GebJg) mit mehr und schwererem Gerödel am Man rumlaufen, insbesondere mit Plattenträger/komplettem Chest Rig usw.

Im Gegensatz dazu ist nach den subjektiven Beobachtungen die Lage bei den Gebirgsjägern etwas anders. Hier gilt immer noch der Leitspruch: " Was du am Man hast musst du auch auf den Berg raufschaffen".
Daher wird massiv auf Ausdauer trainiert, mehr und größere Muskeln am Oberkörper bringen wenig wenn man die den Berg nicht rauf kriegt.

Hinzu kommt, dass im Gebirgskampf aber ein Plattenträger mit Platten (als Beispiel) eher massiv hinderlich ist (einfach wegen des Gewichtes), daher wird dieser im Friedensdienst meistens weg gelassen. Wie gesagt, subjektive Beobachtungen. Kann auch an der Ausstattungslage liegen, da habe ich keinen Einblick rein.
Dennoch schliesse ich mich der Meinung meiner Kameraden an, dass sich der Falli und Greni eine andere Muskulatur als z.B. ein Gebirsjäger leisten kann.

Natürlich lasse ich mich immer eines besseren belehren, da das Thema sehr subjektiv ist. wink.gif
