Ja, die Anhöhe ist strategisch wichtig. Dominiert die Strassenverbindung von der Grenze bei MARYNIVKA bis nach SNISCHNE. Die Anhöhe war bereits 1941 stark umkämpft.

Ich hab mit jetzt die Beschreiben durchgelesen, mit der Erwartung, dass mit dem Gewehr mindestens der Saddam vor der Festnahme angeschossen wurde (ja, ich weiß, dass er nicht angeschossen in einem Erdloch gefunden wurde) oder in der Bin Laden Operation zum Einsatz kam. Nach dem aber nichts dergleichen drin steht - WTF?!

Die Anzeige nicht richtig gelesen?

Das kommt mit einem AN/PVS-22 welches neu alleine um die 10000$ kostet. Nightforce Optik ist auch nochmal locker 1000$-1500$ neu. Eine normale Remington 700 selber irgendwo um die 500$+++ (Siehe EDIT), wobei diese Version ja keine Remington vom Band ist. Die box von z.B. Pelican wäre neu auch nochmal so 200$. Und dann noch die anderen Anbau teile (Zweibein, Ringe etc,) und man ist bei einem Neupreis von locker 13000$, wenn nicht mehr da es ja wie gesagt keine Remington 700 vom Band ist. Jetzt ist vermutlich manchen Sammlern die Geschichte des Gewehres noch etwas wert und 15000$ ist nicht mehr ganz so überraschend.

EDIT: Noch etwas Google bemüht. Iron Brigade Armory verkauft das XM3 OHNE Nachtsicht und OHNE Suppressor für 8295$ zumindest an MIL/LE. Mit Nachtsicht ist ein Preis von 15000$ also quasi ein Schnäppchen. ;-) (Je nachdem wie verschlissen die Innereien des Gewehres sind und wie viel einem die Geschichte wert ist).

Operation verbundener Kräfte

Mehr als 350 Soldaten aus verschiednen Verbänden übten unter Leitung der fünften Kompanie des Gebirgsjägerbataillons 232 im bayerischen Grafenwöhr ein kombiniertes Manöver der schweren Waffensysteme.
Unverzichtbare Schnittstelle im Gefecht: Das Joint Fire Support Team der Gebirgsjäger. Eingesetzt wurden neben dem Kampfhubschrauber Tiger und der Panzerhaubitze 2000 auch Mörser,
der Wiesel mit Maschinenkanone 20mm und TOW sowie die Panzerabwehrwaffe Milan.
