Le 25 juillet 2014, un groupe de tireurs d'élite (TE) et un groupe Milan du groupement tactique interarmes (GTIA) « Acier » ont mené une mission de reconnaissance et d'observation dans le quartier de Sassara, au nord de Bangui.

Sangaris: Prises à partie par des groupes lourdement armés dans le Nord de la RCA
Le 4 août 2014, dans la matinée, en République Centrafricaine à Batangafo située à environ 600 kms au nord de Bangui, la force Sangaris a été violemment prise à partie par des groupes lourdement armés, d’un volume d’une centaine d’individus. Une partie des groupes a été neutralisée et les autres se sont repliés. Dans la soirée du 05 août, des accrochages se sont déroulés blessant 2 soldats français. Aujourd’hui, la situation est stabilisée mais reste tendue à Batangafo.

Inventories of war: soldiers' kit from 1066 to 2014
On a winter’s day in 1915 the family of one Capt Charles Sorley – athlete, soldier and poet – received a package. It was his kit bag, sent home by his regiment from the Western Front, where Sorley had been killed, aged 20, at the Battle of Loos. Out of this bag came a life abridged: personal effects, items of uniform and a bundle of papers, from which emerged his now famous sonnet When You See Millions of the Mouthless Dead. A new photographic survey of military kits now illustrates that curious combination. The photographer Thom Atkinson has recorded 13 military kits for his ‘Soldiers Inventories’ series.

Inventories of war: soldiers' kit from 1066 to 2014

The evolution of technology that emerges from the series is a process that has accelerated over the past century. The pocket watch of 1916 is today a waterproof digital wristwatch; the bolt-action Lee-Enfield rifle has been replaced by laser-sighted light assault carbines; and lightweight camouflage Kevlar vests take the place of khaki woollen Pattern service tunics.

Conflicts not of an international character

ARTICLE 3

In the case of armed conflict not of an international character occurring in the territory of one of the High Contracting Parties, each Party to the conflict shall be bound to apply, as a minimum, the following provisions:

(1) Persons taking no active part in the hostilities, including members of armed forces who have laid down their arms and those placed ' hors de combat ' by sickness, wounds, detention, or any other cause, shall in all circumstances be treated humanely, without any adverse distinction founded on race, colour, religion or faith, sex, birth or wealth, or any other similar criteria.
To this end, the following acts are and shall remain prohibited at any time and in any place whatsoever with respect to the above-mentioned persons:

(a) violence to life and person, in particular murder of all kinds, mutilation, cruel treatment and torture;

(b) taking of hostages;

(c) outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment;

(d) the passing of sentences and the carrying out of executions without previous judgment pronounced by a regularly constituted court, affording all the judicial guarantees which are recognized as indispensable by civilized peoples.

Ukrainische Truppen am 24. August 2014, neuers Pixel-Tarnmuster der ukrainischen Streitkräfte, ähnlichen jenem der Grenztruppen, jedoch in Sandtönen. So hätte imho eigentlich UPC aussehen sollen.

Ukrainischer Soldat im Standardtarnmuster der ukrainishcen Armee, es basiert auf dem TTsKO Tarnmuster (Amboeba Camo), welches in den 80er Jahren von den sowjetischen Luftlandetruppen und Luftwaffe eingeführt wurde. Funktioniert in der Ukraine meiner Ansicht nach sehr gut.
